We had a great turnout! This mid-week event drew about 300 people. Some from as far away as Caro, MI. Americans are motivated this election cycle to return our country to her constitutional foundation. Momentum continues to build as we approach November 2, 2010.
The high humidity made it a bit uncomfortable, plus it was hot; but what do you expect in Hell (MI). The weatherman was calling for thundershowers but we lucked out. We experienced spotty rainshowers with the major storm action skirting just north of us. Mother Nature was smiling down on the American Patriots in Hell today.
We want to thank our guest speakers for joining us today. Brian Breslin, Cindy Denby, Joe Hune, Norm Shinkle, Dr. Janda, and Thayrone X. Plus, a big thanks to those concerned citizens who demonstrated today that they would fight against big government, all the way to the "gates of Hell."

August 31 Update: Had an interview today with Frank Beckmann of WJR Radio (AM 760 - Detroit). Frank is a conservative talk radio host with quite a following in southeast Michigan. We discussed tomorrow's event in Hell, MI on the 666th day after Obama's election. We also discussed the growing strength of the TEA Party movement and the recent Republican Party convention (audio clip is 6 minutes long).

From Southern California, to New York, to Philly, to Tennessee, to Dallas, and beyond. We've also been picked up by numerous blogs including Red State Eclectic and Before Its News. We have even attracted the scorn of the far left Daily Kos. There is still time for you to join the party! Bring a friend along too. RetakeOurGov is inviting you to go to Hell and back to fight Obama's Socialist policies. Join us at the Dam Site Inn in Hell, MI for a TEA Party on Wednesday September 1, 2010.
Why did we chose September 1? September 1 is the 666th day since Obama was elected. We could think of no better date to publicize America's slide into a Socialist Hell!
The Dam Site Inn is providing large outdoor tents to handle an overflow crowd - so come on out rain or shine!
This event will be both informative and fun. We'll have food, drink, candidates, a policy expert, and a conservative talk radio host!
Food and beverage will be available at this event as the Dam Site Inn is a bar and grill. The following food/drink options are available for you:
- You can pre-order a picnic-style buffet meal for $15 per person. This meal consists of Baked Herb Chicken, Pulled Pork w/bun, corn on the cob (if available), green bean almondine substitute if corn on the cob is not available, red skin potatoes w/ butter sauce and sea salt, pasta salad, coffee and tea, and all taxes and gratuity. This fabulous deal also includes seating at the front of the tent where our speakers will be presenting. Supplies are limited and you must pre-order by no later than Monday August 23. - As an alternative to pre-ordering the buffet, the Dam Site Inn will offer a selection of 4 other choices from a shortened menu.

We will have a wide array of special guests. Those that have confirmed already include Joe Hune (R) Candidate for the 22nd Senate District, Cindy Denby (R) Candidate for the 47th House District, Dr. Dave Janda a noted Health Care expert and opponent of socialized medicine, and Thayrone X the conservative talk radio host on WAAM (1600 am) radio in Ann Arbor. Commemorative TEA Shirt: We are all familiar with the old saying, "The Road to Hell is Paved with Good Intentions." In the world we live in today, this famous saying would be better stated as, "The Road to Hell is Paved with Socialism." After all, doesn't Socialism = Good Intentions run amok? To commemorate our fight against Obama's socialist policies we are offering the following t-shirt. This t-shirt is black with white and red lettering and it includes Obama's logo in two locations. The artwork is on the front of the t-shirt. If you would like to order one please do so before Monday, August 23 and we will give you your t-shirt at the event.
